About Us

Who We Are

King’s Kids Preschool and Daycare Center is a Christ-centered, fully accredited childcare center offering nurturing and educational care and programs for children ages six weeks through five years. Recognized for our “whole-person” approach, which focuses on the spiritual, mental, emotional, social, and physical development of your child, we provide a safe, loving, and fun environment to help your child realize his or her God-given potential.

Philosophy

Your children are your most precious treasures, and we believe each child is a unique gift from God with a special purpose. As such, we seek to help each child develop his or her God-given potential, building on the solid foundation of Scriptural truth. We are firmly committed to providing the highest quality Christian preschool experience to children regardless of gender, race, or creed.

As your children grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally, socially, and physically, their wellbeing depends upon the care and support they receive both from family and from teachers and caregivers. At King’s Kids, we take very seriously the responsibility – given by God and entrusted to us by you – to guide your children as they develop in every area of life.

God creates each person with intrinsic value and the need to feel special. First and foremost, therefore, we seek to help children understand that God loves them – personally and unconditionally.

Children also need to feel competent and worthwhile in their interactions with the world around them. To this end, we focus on meeting the educational needs of each child by providing developmentally appropriate curriculum that is reinforced by a Christ-centered approach to learning. Each day, we strive to ensure your child leaves King’s Kids feeling good about himself and his importance in the world.

And at every step along the way, we endeavor to work with parents to provide regular opportunities for children to develop as whole individuals.

A child’s early years are the most influential of his or her life, and we count it a privilege to serve the children and families at King’s Kids.

Goals

Our objective is to provide a Christ-centered, cost-effective, safe, wholesome, stimulating, and family oriented daycare center that allows parents to work worry free, knowing their most important treasures are in the best care.

We achieve this objective by working towards the following goals:

  • Ensuring a child’s first experience outside the home is positive by providing a loving and supportive environment that is safe and conducive to learning;
  • Advancing learning by utilizing appropriate developmental curriculum and inspiring children to discover the world around them;
  • Facilitating and encouraging social, emotional, physical, and mental growth and wellbeing, and
  • Instilling in each child an understanding and appreciation of himself/herself as created in the image of God and teaching children to demonstrate love and respect to others as also created in God’s image.

Hours & Programs

We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Our full-day programs are tailored for children ages infants (6 weeks) through preschool, and we offer a flexible full day or part-time program for infants through preschool.

Curriculum

Central to supporting growth and development in children is understanding how they learn. Because each child is unique, our developmentally appropriate curriculum focuses on helping each child develop at his/her own pace through multiple learning centers that integrate learning into various forms of play.

Our learning centers include:

  • Math
  • Language Arts
  • Reading
  • Blocks
  • Drama
  • Science
  • Cooking
  • Manipulative/ Large Motor Skills

Children learn best when using their senses, and at King’s Kids, we incorporate abstract ideas – such as numbers, letters, and the spelling of a child’s name – into concrete activities, such as molding letters out of clay, completing number puzzles, or letting children see their names printed on their work. By allowing children to choose the activities they enjoy, we help them learn through their play.

Research also shows that children learn best when they feel secure and confident in their environment. Because our approach helps each child learn at his or her own pace, children develop a sense of accomplishment, which encourages confidence.

Engaging children in multiple and diverse activities, we provide a solid educational foundation by teaching a variety of lessons while working to develop in your child the belief that he/she can succeed.

Staff

King’s Kid’s team of teachers and childcare workers place your child’s wellbeing as their highest priority. Our staff is committed to helping your child grow and develop in every area, and each staff member strives to ensure your child’s happiness each and every day.

In every area, we seek to create a supportive environment for parents and children, and our staff-to-child ratios are small enough to provide many opportunities for individual attention. Additionally, we believe consistency is important in modeling positive behavior for children, and throughout all our teaching, we use only positive reinforcement.

Finally, we recognize the importance of partnership and communication with the parents of the children in our care. Twice each year, we hold parent-teacher conferences to review each child’s progress, and we invite parents to call anytime during the year if they would like to schedule an informal conference.
